Also, make sure you've read about the application process. When I’ve received the request, I’ll get back to you as soon as possible.

IMPORTANT PAYPAL UPDATE: I have a personal evilogue with PayPal, it having caused me numerous problems in the past, and I have endeavored to leave its ecosystem, using Square as my payment processor for years now because it doesn't require my clients to sign up for anything to use, only using PayPal when clients had no payment means compatible with Square. However, on December 21, 2024, YouTube journalist MegaLag posted an exposé on Honey, a browser extension ostensibly designed to save you money, showing it to be a literal scam, stealing immense quantities of money from creators, stores, and shoppers. I believe this cements that PayPal is an actual criminal organization, and I will not do business with them, or clients who insist on using their services, at all, full stop. The only exception to this stance is a client using a PayPal debit or credit card that does not require me to log in to receive funds. It is also my recommendation that you, potential client, cease using PayPal immediately, and transition to another similar service; CashApp is one that just so happens to be provided by Square, my payment processor (and in fact CashApp is a payment option on my invoices, though you do not need to sign up for it to pay me). If your reference materials are not hosted online, you'll need to send me files; let me know about them in the description and I'll request these files in my response to your quote request, and you can send them to me via email.

Do you own the copyrights to all characters in your commission?

Owner Contacts

If you don't own the rights to all characters, please list below reliable ways for me to contact each character's owner (email is preferred). Please take note: there may be a valid reason not to contact the owner before the commission is completed—for example if the commission is a gift—but when the owner is contacted, because I don't have a contract with them, they will have the ability to deny my—and therefore your—use of their character. Bear this in mind.

Fan Art Disclaimer

I'm okay with doing fan art of popular characters (as long as I'm not going to get sued for it). I'm not okay with "borrowing" characters belonging to everyday shmoes who may not appreciate their creations being used without their permission, especially if that creation is an extension of their own personality and self-identity. Capiche?

Application Holding Service

Normally after I provide a quote, if the commission is not taken at that time, the application will go poof and the applicant will need to submit their request again when a commission slot opens. Quotes are not contracts! For a fee of $20, however, I'll hold the quote request for a period of 1 year from the date of application or until you ask to cancel it. When I open a slot, provided your held application meets all potential requirements for the slot, it will be considered before any public announcements are made in each future slot opening. While there's no guarantee that the application will be accepted, this fee covers the extra time to find and consider the application accrued over the course of the year and is not refundable.

If this option is selected, an invoice for the fee will be sent along with the response to the application; you can choose at this time not to pay the invoice if you change your mind. An invoice for the fee will not be sent if the application will, for whatever reason, never be accepted.
